Overview 

This article covers how to set up a new Email Security tenant and connect a message source. Connecting your organization's email environment to the Huntress security platform enables our SOC to analyze your emails and protect against threats.

 

Configure a Mailbox

  1. Log in to Huntress and go to the ES > Dashboard page.

  2. Click Configure a Mailbox.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select the appropriate organization and click Continue.

  4. Select your provider, such as Microsoft or Google and click Continue.

  5. Copy the OAuth link and paste it in a new browser tab or window, and follow the steps to sign-in with a Global Admin (Microsoft 365) or Super Admin (Google Workspace).

  6. Once complete, return to the Huntress portal and click I've Authorized - Continue.

  7. If successful, the dialog will close and your data will begin processing. It usually takes up to 24 hours to see historic email review, depending on tenant size.

 

 

Tips & Notes

  • Ensure you have the appropriate administrator privileges in your Microsoft or Google environment before starting the OAuth process.
  • The platform periodically refreshes the connection status, so it may take a few minutes for the setup to fully reflect in your dashboard.
