Summary: How to Add a Full-Image Slide in Content Creator
You can now create a slide in the Content Creator that features an image. This image will automatically fill the slide as much as possible while maintaining its original aspect ratio.
When a learner views the slide, the image will properly resize without being distorted or cut off, providing a clean, high-impact visual.
1. Add an Image Block
In the Content Creator editor, click to add a new content block. From the toolbar that appears, select the Image option.
2. Choose Your Image
After adding the block, the Block Settings menu will open. Under the Settings tab, you are provided two options to add your image:
- Upload image: Click this to upload a new image file directly from your computer.
- From Content Library...: Click this to select an image you have already uploaded to your Content Library.
3. (Optional) Adjust Block Background
This feature is designed for your image to fill the slide. However, if the image's aspect ratio doesn't perfectly match the slide's dimensions, a background color may be visible in the empty space (e.g., bars on the top/bottom or sides).
You can control this color from the Background tab in Block Settings:
- Color: Set a specific background color to complement your image. For example, using
#000000will result in a black background. - Tone: Choose Dark or Light. This setting typically adjusts the color of any system UI elements (like navigation arrows) to ensure they are visible against your chosen background.
4. Preview Your Slide
Once your image is uploaded, click the Preview button in the top-right corner of the Content Creator. This will show you exactly how your full-image slide will appear to learners and allow you to confirm it resizes correctly.
