Team: Huntress Managed Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
Product: Syncro PSA
Environment: Huntress Dashboard
Summary: This guide goes over how Huntress can report incidents and step-by-step remediation instructions directly to your Syncro PSA. The API uses the "Business Name" from Syncro as the Organization key to send tickets or test the integration.
Huntress can report incidents and remediation recommendations directly to your Syncro PSA ticket queue. This is a two-part process that involves:
- 1 Gathering your Syncro API key from Syncro's dashboard
- 2 Setting up the Huntress Integration to Syncro PSA
Please Note: The Huntress integration does not support custom ticket fields that are required. The integration will only work with the required fields described in Syncro's documentation.
Please Note: If you use an IP Allow list for the PSA please ensure the below is allowed. Reference our support article here for more information for required firewall settings. These addresses are for traffic coming from our systems for self hosted PSA's. Traffic coming from our systems should come from one of the following IP addresses:
52.4.130.244
34.205.224.75
184.72.103.99
107.21.187.4
Gather your Syncro API from Syncro's Dashboard
- Login to your Syncro Dashboard within an admin account.
- In the upper right corner of the Syncro UI, click your "First Lastname" button and select the "Profile/Password" option from the drop-down menu.
- Copy the API KEY value to your clipboard.
- We highly recommend adding Huntress as a company in the "Customers" section of Syncro, with the email noreply@huntress.io. There are rare times (such as broken PSA integration) where we may have an outreach where we email you directly rather than use your PSA integration, so by adding in our email address it ensures your PSA will intake the ticket properly. If you go to https://<your subdomain>.syncromsp.com/leads you can see all of the inbound communications that didn't get processed into a ticket or parsed to another module.
Setting up the Huntress Integration to Syncro PSA
- Login to the Huntress Dashboard.
- Hover over the Huntress options menu in the upper-right corner of the dashboard.
- Select the "Integrations" option from the drop-down menu.
- Select the "Add" button to create a new integration.
- Select the "Syncro" banner.
- Populate the "Subdomain" field with your Syncro subdomain (not the full URL). Paste the Syncro API Key from your clipboard into the "API Key" field.
- Select the "Add" button to save your integration.
- After adding your Syncro PSA integration, Huntress will attempt to make a connection to the specified subdomain.
- Within a couple seconds, the "Status" field should either change to a green ✔ or a red ✖.
- If your connection was successful, congratulations! Huntress can now directly report incidents and remediation recommendations to your Syncro PSA. If your connection failed, select the pencil icon to edit your integration's settings. If you have any trouble getting this setup, don't hesitate to drop us an email.
You can set defaults for new Huntress tickets that come into your PSA queue.
The Set Status after Huntress Remediation field will automatically update the status of the PSA ticket once remediation is approved or rejected on the Huntress side.
