Team: Huntress Mananged Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
Environment: Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, macOS 11 Big Sur
Summary: Ending support for specific operating systems.
see also: Supported Operating Systems / System Requirements
Overview
Occasionally, Huntress will need to end support for specific operating systems that have reached the end of their own lifecycle. Doing this allows Huntress to remain inline with industry best practices and stay up-to-date with underlying technology that supports our agent. As we evolve forward, this becomes an important step to ensuring we can continue introducing newer features and functionality within our agent and the Huntress Security Platform.
What will happen:
When Huntress End-of-Support is reached for any operating system, Huntress will allow partners to continue running those agents but will no longer provide product support. These agents will not receive any additional upgrades, security patches, or new features. In addition, Huntress Security Operation Center investigation services will be significantly reduced and not guaranteed.
