Summary: What if I want to use another Anti-Virus
For Huntress SOC to have access to AV telemetry, Huntress Managed AV is only compatible with Microsoft Defender and no other antivirus. Our agent and EDR agents will both work perfectly with any AV, we simply won't have access to AV telemetry. By default, Microsoft Defender Antivirus is enabled for all Windows machines that support Microsoft Defender Antivirus.
Using another AV? The antivirus that's registered in Windows Security Center will appear in your Huntress portal on the Managed AV Dashboard for visibility purposes.
