Team: Huntress EDR
Product: Two-Factor (2FA) / Multi-factor (MFA)
Environment: Huntress.IO management portal
Summary: In order to reset a 2FA/MFA authentication when you do not have access to your backup codes, you will need an Account Admin to send you a recovery link.
So you got a hot new phone📱, or maybe your old one got eaten by a shark.🦈
Whatever the case may be, you're unable to get into your Huntress Account because you no longer have access to your two-factor authentication (multifactor authentication) method and backup codes.
Can I reset it? How do I get in?
To regain access to your Huntress account you will need one of your Huntress Account Admins to send you a recovery link.
Please note, that for your protection, the Huntress Technical Support Team will not be able to easily recover your account if you lose access. This is why we ask you to have one of your Account Admins perform the recovery for you (someone within your organization would easily be able to confirm your identity). If none of your Huntress Admins are available (or you are the only one), feel free to contact Support and we'll discuss the next steps.
Remember to reset your two-factor authentication methods once you get back in with the recovery link.
