Summary: A breakdown of our services that relate to cyber insurance, which are Managed Endpoints Detection and Response, Managed Antivirus, and Security Awareness Training.
When working with Cyber Insurance providers, it is important to know how your current products map to the requirements of a given provider. Each form is different and every insurance provider has their own set of requirements that can make even the most experienced cybersecurity expert's head spin. In this article, we will explain how Huntress products are applicable in the world of cyber insurance, namely:
- 24/7 Managed Endpoints Detection and Response (EDR)
- 24/7 Managed Antivirus (AV)
- Security Awareness Training (SAT)
Additionally, when filling out forms it is important to:
- Provide as much detail as possible!
- If you are provided an area to explain your security controls, use it. If not, don’t be afraid to add an appendix.
- Be truthful in your responses - if there are errors, this can result in a denied application.
Huntress Managed EDR
Huntress Managed Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) is a 24/7 managed offering that allows the Huntress Security Operations Center (SOC) to detect and respond to cyber threats. With this offering, if a SOC analysts detects nefarious behavior on a given endpoint, they are able to isolate the endpoints in question and provide both tools and detailed guidance to assist in returning them to a healthy state.
Huntress Managed Antivirus (NGAV)
Along with the visibility provided by EDR, Huntress Managed AV using Microsoft Defender Antivirus takes preventive actions against malware stopping malicious behavior before executing. This is also managed by the Huntress SOC in the same manner as EDR (24/7).
Security Awareness Training (SAT)
Security Awareness Training from Huntress fills a critical hole in an organization's security posture by educating users on proper security practices thus limiting cyber risk in an organization. Additionally, SAT enables organizations to perform simulated phishing campaigns to educate and train users on how to recognize and report phishing attacks.
In Summary
When applying for Cyber Insurance, the three main Huntress offerings relevant are Huntress Managed EDR, Managed AV, and Security Awareness Training. Again, don’t be afraid to be verbose when explaining these offerings as the more information you provide about the capabilities of the products in your stack, the less room for error in your final quote. Best of luck in this process and don’t be afraid to reach out to our team here at Huntress if you need any additional support!
