SyncroMSP - Agent Service Monitor Policy

Summary: Setup guide for SyncroMSP Policy integration for monitoring Huntress Agent and Huntress Updater service statuses.

Create SyncroMSP Policy Service Monitor for Huntress Agent services.

  1. Log into SyncroMSP
  2. Go to More>ScriptsNotification_Center.png
  3. Click Policy Modules>Process & Service MonitoringPolicies___Huntress_Labs.png
  4. Click New Monitor>New Service MonitorProcess___Service_Monitor_Policies___Huntress_Labs.png
  5. Fill in your wanted policies (we provide an example in the screenshot--your requirements may be different)
  6. Click Create Service Monitor Policy OR (optional) click Save and Generate Remediation (see next section for details).

 

 

Automated Remediation (Optional):

If you clicked Save and Generate Remediation from step 6 above, then you will be prompted with an Automated Remediation builder.

You can set SyncroMSP to Run a script (or do a number of things) if the Huntress service is stopped. You can attempt to run the Huntress Deployment script which should result in a reinstall if needed.

NOTE: The time period must be at least 30 minutes, as our agent will stop to install updates. Setting the timer too low may lead to unexpected issues that can negatively impact the agent. While agent updates typically finish in under a minute, external factors may extend this duration slightly, and any interference with the installation process could cause the update to fail or become unstable.
